Taapsee Pannu (born August 1, 1987) is an Indian model turned film actress who has
worked in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi film industries. Born in a Sikh
Punjabi family, Taapsee Pannu worked as a software professional and
also pursued work as a model before becoming an actress.
During her modeling career, she appeared in several advertisements and has won titles like “pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face” and “Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin “in 2008.

After a brief stint at modeling, Taapsee Pannu made her first acting with 2010 Telugu film directed by Raghavendra Rao Jhummandi Adam. Since then, she has appeared in several critically acclaimed films like Aadukalam , Vastadu Naa Raju , Mr. Perfect and Vandhaan Vendraan . Her Tamil film Aadukalam met with critical praise and was a huge commercial success upon release, and finally won six National Film Awards in the 58 National Film Awards. Taapsee Pannu has also worked in Malayalam films and has been signed for three movies Telugu and Hindi films.
